Does the technician app work without signal?
Yes. Everything is saved on the phone first, and photos, notes, forms, sign-offs and clock events send automatically when signal returns.
Which phones does it run on?
The technician app runs on Android phones. FieldFlow KPA runs on Android phones and tablets, with a web version for iPhone and laptop users.
Is it set up for Irish VAT?
Yes. Quotes apply the two-thirds rule automatically — 23% or 13.5% — and staff can override it, including 0% for exempt work.
Can customers pay online?
Yes — by card through Stripe's secure hosted checkout, or by bank transfer using the details on the invoice.
Do technicians see prices or invoice totals?
No. Technicians record the work and parts used; pricing stays with the office.
Is location tracked outside working hours?
No. Location is recorded only between clock-in and clock-out, and anything outside a shift is rejected.
Can one job span several days or several technicians?
Yes. Multi-day jobs run from 2 to 15 working days with their own crew and shift times per day, and shared jobs let each technician sign off their own part — still one job and one invoice.
Does the pay shown in the app match payroll?
Yes. Any figure FieldFlow shows for a technician's pay is worked out the same way payroll pays it.
Can customers see their own jobs?
Yes. The customer portal shows their sites, jobs with photos, invoices, assets and spend, and lets them report site issues.
Can we change the wording of customer emails?
Yes. Thirteen emails can be reworded with a live preview, while links, amounts and bank details stay protected.
How do app updates reach the team?
Most improvements install automatically the next time the app is opened.
How is customer data protected?
Customer details are encrypted, every view is logged, access is enforced by role in the database, and GDPR erasure is built in.
